EXAM INFORMATION

New PSIA-C Written Exams
Don't forget if you are studying for the Alpine Level 1, 2, or 3 written exam, that you must be studying from the these following manuals:

There manuals are available for purchase through the Central office (while our season's supplies last) or through the National office.

The material in the written exams is based on the National Alpine Certification Standards (Click here for National Alpine Certification Standards) and represents a minimum competency and understanding in teaching and professional knowledge for each certification level.

Taking the Alpine Level 2 or 3 Exam this season?
Remember that you must have your written exam completed in order to have your application accepted for registration for the on hill exam.  This means that your application will be accepted by our office, but it does not guarantee you a spot in the exam until your written exam has been passed.  You can contact your section representative of your area to find an examiner who can administer the exam. (Click here for the list of Section Representatives.)  Remember that you can take a written exam at no cost at any of our regularly scheduled events, just contact the PSIA-C office to ensure that an exam will be made available for you.  Live near the Lansing, MI area?  You can take your written exam at the PSIA-Central office.  Our hours for exams are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST.
