of America - Central and American Association of Snowboard
Instructors – Central! PSIA-C and AASI-C together comprise
ASEA-C, American Snowsports Education Association – Central.
ASEA-C membership includes more than 3,500 snowsports
instructors in the disciplines of Alpine Skiing, Nordic
Track Skiing, Nordic Downhill Skiing, Snowboard Riding
and Adaptive Snowsports from throughout the Midwest.
The
goals of ASEA-C include education, training, and certification
examination when desired for snowsports instructions.
Education and certification standards are developed by
ASEA National’s teams, and are applied nation wide by
all divisions.
Services
of ASEA-C include working with snowsports schools and
areas to promote and support uniform excellence in snowsports
instruction, and to work for instructor members to maintain
nationally recognized excellence in snowsports instruction.
Snowsports
instructors offer coaching for the expert, basic movement
introduction to the absolute beginner, and everything
in between. The ultimate goal of PSIA and AASI, at the
national offices and in all divisions, is to provide great
fun, great skill refinement, and safe snowsport experiences
for every snow area guest. “Go with a Pro”, a PSIA or
AASI Pro, to fine-tune expertise, or to increase skill
proficiency.
